About Us
Cajun Gumbo Boards, LLC was founded in Louisiana by lifelong residents of the state. We are very proud of the state's rich heritage and diversity and have developed a true love for the Bayou State. We believe you'll find the craftsmanship of the Cajun Gumbo Boards a direct reflection of that affection.
CGB purchases all raw materials for their cutting and serving boards from local vendors. The wood used is cut from sustainable forests in Louisiana, other southern states and throughout the world. Coastal erosion is a concern of Louisiana residents, and CGB takes it seriously. The policies of its lumber vendors work to eliminate this threat to the state and CGB fully supports them. Working with local vendors, CGB hopes to recharge the regional economy that has been so devastated by recent calamities such as Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the Gulf Oil Spill.
At Cajun Gumbo Boards, all of our boards are made from carefully selected, hand-picked hardwoods. Our products are some of the finest on the market. We believe it's because the craftsmen at the CGB manufacturing facility are all local, experienced woodworkers with a love for fine wood products. Before making the splendid kitchen products created for CGB, these artisans honed their craft through years of intricate furniture and cabinet making. They bring all these woodworking skills to CGB.
